How to sync audiobooks to your Kindle device

In order to sync files to your Kindle device, they must first be downloaded from our website and saved to your computer (we recommend creating a folder on the Desktop or in My Documents called 'Audiobooks'). Please note that not all Kindles support audio files. Typically, if your Kindle has a headphone jack or built-in speakers, then it can play audio files. You will want to be sure you are downloading the MP3 file format of the audiobook for compatibility with your Kindle.

Syncing MP3 audiobook files to your Kindle device is as easy as:

1. Connect the Kindle to your computer with the included USB cable. Kindle will then show where hard drives and other USB drives show (under My Computer on Windows or on the desktop on Mac). Double-click on the Kindle drive to open it.

2. In another window, open the folder where you stored the audiobook files on your computer (we recommend downloading and storing them on the desktop or in My Documents in a folder called 'audiobooks'). You can then drag and drop the file(s) from your computer to the "Documents" folder on the Kindle.

3. After the files are finished transferring to the Kindle and BEFORE unplugging the USB cable, you must eject the Kindle from the computer. Removing the USB cable before doing this can cause harm to your audiobooks and/or the Kindle. Simply right-click on the Kindle drive and select the undock, eject, or unmount option.

For Kindle devices, Note that not all Kindle devices support audio files and you'll need to check the manual that came with your device. You can also view Amazon help: HERE
